
STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TEMPORARY HOLIDAY
ACCOMMODATION
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by
arrangement with the owner in writing.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is
required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the
clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Balance of the rental
amount must be received in full 7 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has
the right to cancel the booking and re-let the accommodation.
If the
client cancels prior to arrival, any monies already paid are non-refundable
unless the house is re-let for the entire period of the original booking. In the
event that the property is re-let then any monies already paid will be refunded,
less a $50 cancellation fee plus any out of pocket expenses.
The owners
will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However
the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen
circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require
certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our
property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following
conditions.
- A Bond of $250 per week or part thereof is required and provided that the
house is left in the same condition as it was on tenant’s arrival, then the bond
will be refunded into the tenant’s bank account or cheque within 14 days from
the date of “checkout”
- Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation
Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess
guests not previously agreed with the owners in advance. We reserve the right to
terminate rental immediately, without returning a tenant's bond, if this
condition is not complied with.
- Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for
domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for
the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal,
wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond
and/or additional payments.
- Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants' responsibility during
their stay.
- Departure - to prepare property for subsequent guests the property should be
left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10.00 am
by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.
- Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and
may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
- Bond is applicable is payable at the same time as balance of the tariff
amount. The bond will be refunded within 14 days in full subject to all the
stated conditions being met and the house is left in the same manner as it was
when “checked in” . It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred
including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning
requirements, extra guests beyond those declared etc and as previously
specified.
- Linen can be supplied by the owner or as mutually agreed by further
arrangements.
- Pets are NOT allowed inside the house at any time unless specific
arrangements have been made and agreed to in writing with the owner. If pet is
to be included in the “stay” then there is automatically and unconditionally
$250 Bond applicable. Pets – All pet “deposits” are to be collected in plastic
bags provided, sealed and disposed of in the outside bin outside.
- Outdoor heated spa (where provided) is to be switched off and lid securely
replaced when not being used and/or when tenants are away or before “check out”
from the property. This is a health and safety requirement also.
- A surcharge of $50 per week or part thereof is applicable for the use of the
heated spa. This charge is applicable due to the running expenses, heating,
hygienic control and of course the use of the luxury amenity of water.
- Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements
with the owner in writing.
